Where Do Downloaded Videos Go on iPhone? (And How to Move Them to Photos)

Find your downloads in the Files app and save them to your camera roll in two taps.

On iPhone and iPad, Safari puts downloaded files in the Files app, not in Photos. That's why it can feel like a video “disappeared”.

Find the file

1. After the download finishes, tap the blue arrow icon in Safari's address bar to see recent downloads.
2. Or open the Files app → Browse → On My iPhone → Downloads.

Move it to Photos

1. Open the video in Files.
2. Tap the Share icon (square with an arrow).
3. Choose Save Video. It now appears in your camera roll.

TipIf a download doesn't start in Safari, long-press the quality button and choose Download Linked File.
